I have a Samsung Note 5 with a monster battery, but I often do outdoor events where cell signal is bad so the battery will drain quickly due to roaming. I ordered this unit after my cell phone died at the Rhode Island Air Show in May.

In bright sunlight the solar cells seem to keep up with the drain my cell phone creates, although I haven't done a true torture test on it.

At a minimum, I think this unit will work well on a bright day on a boat or at an outdoor festival and keep up with the drain my cell phone puts on it.

I will be doing more outdoor events this summer, and will add another review if find any negative issues.
